Business operations for owner-led companies

Built with you.Runs without you.

Fulcrum maps how an owner-led business operates today, designs how it should, and builds the system so it runs without you.

Who it is for

The owner is still the system

Companies of ten to two hundred people where the owner still holds everything together. Every owner is building toward at least one of these, and all four need the same thing underneath.

1

A business that can grow

Growth requires delegation and scaling. Nothing undocumented scales without breaking. A second location, a new crew or a second shift needs standard procedures and real indicators, so the work runs the same way every time.

2

A business that runs without you

Work on the business instead of inside it. When the processes, the data and the queue carry the day to day, the owner's week comes back.

3

A business you can sell for more

A buyer pays less for a company that depends on its owner. Documented, measurable operations are the remedy, and they take time to build. Start before the sale is in view.

4

A business that makes more money

The same throughput with fewer hands and fewer corrections. This is the one that never competes with the other three. It pays for them.

Why owners bring us in

How it works

Five phases, one workflow at a time

We do the work. Fulcrum builds and runs; it does not advise and leave. Stop after any phase and keep what you have.

1

Operations audit

Two weeks, one workflow, from a named start to a named end.

We do not try to map your whole company on day one. You get a baseline map of how that workflow runs today, the numbers that matter measured rather than estimated, and a ranked roadmap of what to do about it, with the immediate profit wins named first. Some items will be things you can do yourself next week at no cost. Some belong to somebody who is not us, and we say so. The roadmap is yours whether you buy anything else or not.

2

System architecture and design

A complete operational blueprint.

The mapped procedures, the exception rules, the data model saying which system is right when two of them disagree, and what each indicator means and where it reads from. One workflow, or the whole business for an owner with a sale in view. This is the core of what we do, and it is finished work on its own. Many owners buy the blueprint and take the build in-house, or bring it back to us later.

3

System implementation

The architecture configured into software people actually use.

We configure what you already own, or select the software that fits, and load the design into it. We set up the queues the work runs through. Where nothing fits, the design becomes a scoping document and we bring in a development partner and run them against it. We do not write the software ourselves.

4

Workflow automation

Workflow by workflow, on clean data and documented processes.

One at a time, each one proving its own saving before the next one starts, with AI where it earns its place and nowhere it does not. Never on top of a process nobody has written down.

5

Process management

Selective, ongoing, under a set monthly fee.

Fulcrum runs and maintains the workflows you agree to hand over, end to end, to an agreed scope and service level. You choose which ones. The agreement names the charge for surge volume, so the price is steady in the ordinary month and never a surprise in the busy one. Keeping the procedures, indicators and knowledge base current is included.
